30 Lips in 30 Days - Too Faced Créme Lipstick

Day 7 of the 30 lips challenge and today we have something from Too Faced. Their La Créme Colour Drenched Lipsticks are £18 a piece for the full size although I just have a mini here and the packaging is a perfect replica of the full size, a luxurious gold metallic tube that still feels weighty despite it's miniature size.

I wasn't sure I'd get on with the shade "Naked Dolly" as it looked like one of those "barely there" concealer-lips type shades but I was pleasantly surprised, the moisture content in the formula sheers out the shade just enough for it to be a super wearable nude without making the colour pay off disappointing, I'd love to see how the deeper shades come out. The formula is comfortable on the lips but will require maintenance and I love the shade with both neutral looks and paired with a more dramatic eye look.

30 Lips in 30 Days - No7 Moisture Drench

Day 6 and we have a No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick on the cards today. These are £9.95 so quite pricey for a high-street lip product but Boots often give out vouchers to get £3 off No7 makeup so I'd wait it out and pick one up for £6.95 instead. That being said the packaging does reflect the price, it's a nicely weighted, dark metallic lipstick tube.

I'm wearing the shade "840 - Autumn Truffle" and it's a nice slightly darker orangey shade. Despite being an orange it does actually look quite neutral on the skin because it's a bit darker than a typical orange shade and it's very wearable. As the name would suggest, the moisture content in this lipstick is high so it's a nice comfortable satin finish on the lips.

30 Lips in 30 Days - Revlon Colourstay Moisture Stain

Day 5 and today we have the Revlon Colour Moisture Stain and this is one of the most unusual lip product formulas I've ever tried. It comes in a square tube with a black plastic top and the colour-co-ordinated tube which I like. You can pick these up from Boots and Superdrug for around £7 each and they do some really nice shades in the range.

The shade I picked up is "Barcelona Nights" which is a bright fuchsia pink. This goes on like an opaque lipgloss with a bit of a thickness on the lips and a high-shine finish but it isn't sticky or tacky at all and is comfortable to wear. However on application, it feels like it should dry down to a liquid lipstick type product but it stays wet and gloss-like. Again, because it's comfortable and glossy the wear-time really isn't there and this s definitely something you'll need to top up as it starts to go a bit patchy after a few hours but for the comfort and the look I don't mind having to touch up occasionally.

30 Lips in 30 Days - NYC Liquid Lipstain

Day 4 and back to budget with the NYC Smooch Proof Liquid Lip Stain. The packaging on this is nice for a budget product, a classic black lid doe-foot applicator with a colour-co-ordinated lipgloss tube type of set up. The one bug bare I have with it is that the writing smudges off on your hand as you hold the product and leaves you with black ink-y hands which isn't great.

I'm pretty sure the shade I have is "100 - Faithful Coral" but the shade names don't seem to be on the packaging which can be annoying if you need to repurchase. It's a soft orangey neutral shade that shows up quite sheer on the lips but can be built up to a decent colour pay off and the lasting power is decent. It's very water-y upon application but does dry down to a matte finish which becomes more drying the longer you wear it so not a good option for those with dry lips.

30 Lips in 30 Days - Chanel Rouge Allure

Day 3 and it's time to bring in something a little more luxury to this 30 lips challenge. Today we're going to be talking about one of the Chanel Rouge Allure Lipsticks, and I've been itching to get my hands on one of these for ages. The packaging is lovely and weighty and feels expensive (lets face it, it kind of needs to feel like a treat for £26 a piece). You press the gold top into the casing and it pops up, you can then pull the lipstick out of the lid.

The shade I picked up was "97 Incandescente" which is a bright, orange-y red with a slightly cream-y finish (think MAC Amplified formula) and it's very comfortable on the lips without being too shiny. Because the moisture content in the product is pretty heavy this isn't going to last all day and will need to be touched up occasionally. You can definitely get a similar formula for less and some other brands have colours comparable to this but it's a nice treat of a product. Possibly a good pick if you're looking to get something small but special for the beauty lover in your life this Christmas.

30 Lips in 30 Days - Revolution I Heart My Lips

Day 2 of the 30 Lips in 20 Days challenge and today I have a Revolution I Heart My Lips Lipstick for you. On first impressions, the packaging is very cheap looking, and the layout of the product is a bit tacky. The bullet is heart-shaped all the way down which, although quite cute, makes application a little more difficult.

The shade I picked up was "Heart is Pumping" which is a light, cool toned pink. The formula is one of those with the lipstick shade on the outside with a balm-like texture running through the middle which does make the product quite sheer and sheeny upon application. It does feel quite thick on the lips but isn't at all sticky or gloss-like in texture. The scent of the product is actually quite nice, a subtle sweet scent that you will be able to taste slightly when you first apply the product but this will fade with wear.

All in all, for £1.49 it's not bad. I would definitely say that this was aimed towards a younger market (early to mid teenage years) with the pricing and the cutesy-ness of the packaging. The sheerness is also probably nice for the younger wearers. However I can't be it something I'll be reaching for very often.

30 Lips in 30 Days - MUA Whipped Velvet Lips

So I'd seen the "30 Lips in 30 Days Challenge" on Miss Budget Beauty's Channel (clicky link here) and being the lip-product junkie that I am, I figured that this would be a great opportunity to justify buying lots of new lipsticks share my thoughts on some lip products I've picked up recently. So lets get started.

When MUA first launched in Superdrug, I was all over trying the range but they had since fallen off my radar a little. So I figured I'd try out some of the things they had to offer and I really liked this one. Annoyingly, the shade names aren't on the packaging but I'm fairly certain that this is the shade "301 Ritzy".

The texture on this is lovely, it;s a nice light "whipped" texture. They are quite liquid in texture and feel really balmy and comfortable on the lips. the moisture content does come through in the finish of these and they have a pretty muted gloss type of look on the lips. At £3 a piece these are definitely a good affordable option but the packaging doesn't look particularly cheap and the applicator is nice.

Because the formula is so creamy and moisturising, they don't last particularly well on the lips so you'll need to keep it with you to touch up throughout the day if you plan to be wearing this for any length of time. I will note though that the range doesn't seem to contain any out-there bold shades, it does seem to be very neutral and light and so I find that it fades nicely on the lips and doesn't leave you with any crazy lip-line effect as it fades.
